Missio Kids

Our mission and heartbeat with Missio Kids is simple: we desire to disciple kids to know and love Jesus with their whole heart and to live their lives in a way that makes God known and brings Him alone the glory.

We take this mission extremely important. We understand that this is a huge task that we as a children’s ministry cannot do on our own. Studies show that we have your kids for roughly 40 hours a year whereas in the home you the family have them for roughly 3000 waking hours a year. With these statistics in mind, this means our method of reaching this goal greatly changes. No longer can the home and children’s ministry be two separate functions but rather we join together as a team all with the same goal in mind to better impact kids’ lives.

On Sunday Mornings, we seek to create a safe and energetic environment in which all kids will be taught a gospel-centered lesson combined with scripture memory, games, art, music, drama, videos, and snacks. We strive for children to use all their senses in each lesson to create a learning repetition and to allow each child’s learning style to be used. With a partnership with families, that allows us at Missio Kids to connect what we are teaching your kids to your everyday home life. We do this through the use of the Jesus Storybook Bible, monthly Table Talks, newsletters, blogs, and other resources.

Our mission and goal is simple but it is one of great need and importance. Our prayer at Missio Kids is that we would develop deep partnerships and lasting relationships with families and kids that create disciples, missionaries, worshippers and families who will radically change the world for Jesus sake.

About the Logo

if you check out our Missio Kids logo, you will see 3 squares. You will see a blue and yellow square with a green square in the middle; the blue square representing the home and the yellow square representing the church. When we put the two squares together you get an overlap that creates a green square which is representative of this amazing partnership we get to create. Here at Missio Kids, we are shooting to be the green square. We seek to develop lasting relationships with each kid and a strong partnership with all families.
